[Learn Korean Day 12] From Morning to Night: 15 Essential Daily Routine Verbs

15 essential Korean daily routine verbs from morning to night.

Over the past few lessons, we have learned a lot of nouns—places, furniture, and vehicles. Now, it is time to bring those words to life! To talk about what you actually do every day, you need action words.

Today, we are going to learn 15 essential Korean verbs to describe your daily routine from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep. Let’s learn these verbs in chronological order so you can easily visualize your day!

Let’s dive right in!

4. Soona's Culture Tip: The "Ppalli-Ppalli" Culture

When you learn these daily routine verbs and visit South Korea, you will immediately notice the speed at which these actions happen. This is due to Korea's famous 빨리빨리 (Ppalli-ppalli) culture.

"빨리빨리" literally translates to "Hurry, hurry" or "Quickly, quickly." It is the driving force behind modern Korean society. Because of this culture, Korea has incredibly fast internet, next-day (or even same-day) delivery services, and food that arrives at your restaurant table within minutes.

While it makes life extremely convenient, it also means the daily routine (일하다, 공부하다) can be very fast-paced and intense. So, when Koreans finally go home to rest (쉬다), they truly value their relaxation time!
