3️⃣ Expression Tips & Cultural Notes

  • 집 (jip) means both “house” and “home.” Koreans often say “집에 가요” (I go home) instead of “I go to my house.”

  • 부엌 / 주방 both mean “kitchen.” “부엌” is slightly more casual.

  • 청소하다 / 빨래하다 / 요리하다 are basic household verbs ending in 하다.

  • 쉬다 means “to rest,” but can also mean “to relax at home.”
