Korean Slang — 쩐다 (jjeon-da) : Meaning, Examples & Practice




🔤 Meaning


쩐다 is a popular Korean slang expression used to describe something that is extremely impressive, amazing, or even overwhelming. It can be used in a positive sense (“That’s so cool!”) or, in some contexts, a negative sense (“That’s intense!”). Among younger Koreans, it’s often used to hype up a great experience, a skill, or a surprising fact.

  1. “그 공연 진짜 쩐다.”

    (That performance is seriously amazing.)


  2. “너 피아노 치는 거 보니까 완전 쩌네.”

    (Watching you play the piano is incredible.)


  3. “이 게임 그래픽 쩐다.”

    (This game’s graphics are awesome.)


  4. “그 가수 라이브 실력 진짜 쩌네.”

    (That singer’s live performance is amazing.)


  5. “야, 이거 가격 대비 퀄리티 쩐다.”

    (Wow, this quality for the price is amazing.)
